Some of our latest UbiCarâ„¢ tags make an audible beep noise to indicate their working status. If your tag beeps (older versions do not), the number of beeps indicate the following:

1 Beep
Every time you start a new trip, the UbiCarâ„¢ tag will beep once to indicate it is starting to record a new trip. This is normal.

2 Beeps
The Tag detects an internal issue and is unable to record a new trip. Please contact support for assistance.

3 Beeps
The Tag is unable to connect to the phone. You will hear this 2 minutes after the first beep when the Tag starts to record the trip. You may also hear this later during the trip if the Tag loses connection to the phone. Please check your phone to ensure Bluetooth is turned on to ensure they can connect.
